Smokebusters As some of you probably noticed there was no smoking area at B.H.S. this year. To some Bonanza students that was a relief, and to others it meant waiting until after school to take a puff of that cigarette. The smoking area was originally designed because non-smoking students got tired of putting up with smokey bathrooms. At first the smok- ing area was in the quad, but last year it was moved beside the wood shop. The administration thought if the smoking area was moved out of clear view, smoking among B.H.S. students would go down. They also thought it would cut down on drug trafiicing at Bonanza. i Looking down on an empty quad, the Bengal Tiger breathes freely once again . . . This year, however, the smokini area was eliminated completely, nc only at Bonanza but also at a few othe high schools. Some students were in favor c this, and others were not. Junio Christine Yuhas stated, The smolf ing area was good in the sense the the students liked freedom they hac but the administrators were always ot there, so it looked as if the student were always in trouble. So maybl with the smoking area eliminated, thi healthy, clean image of Bonanza Hig School will be stronger than ever.
