at Wit if Beginnings The Decade of Ex- cellence Celebration at Bonanza High School started with the opening of school on August 28, 1985. Registration was very efficient, due to com- puter technology. The Student Council sponsored a Hello Dance on September 3, in the Quad and Activity Center. The dance in- cluded a barbeque, and each club sponsored a booth to recruit new members. The Bengal spirit was apparent to all. Eight hundred students at- tended the dance. The first pep assembly took place on Friday of that week. The lVlascot's ap- pearance generated spirit as he led the chants, cheers, and activities. Senior Linda Bell stated, 'ilt was exciting to start my senior year. There was so much spirit on the first day of school, and the feeling re- mained throughout the year.
