at 'W' Throughout Bonanza's ten years, there was a great deal of extra help. The library was a great source of educa- tion, with over 17,000 books. Mr. Benoit, Librarian, said, Since I started working at Bonanza, the students are more business-like. Special Education was set up to provide a particular learning environment for the Learning Disabled and Handi- capped students. The pro- gram included classes in Pre- Vocational and Career train- ing. Mrs. Massa said that the purpose of this program was to encourage the develop- ment of self-esteem. The Counseling staff worked overtime to program students into the correct classes. In addition they helped seniors with college admissions and planning. If you wanted to pay for an ac- tivity fee, get something copied, find help in opening a jammed locker, eat your lunch, put a band-aid on a cut, etc., etc., who was there to help meet your needs? Our classified personnel - the custodians, aides, hall monitors, clerks, cafeteria workers, and secretaries without whose loyal service Bonanza could not function! This year the Golden Vi- sions yearbook staff especial- ly salutes the people who have helped keep Bonanza going for ten years: Ms. Jackie Assenco, Bankerg Mrs. Mary Bieber, Cafeteria Managerg Mrs. Pat Shuptrine, Secretary, Mrs. Emma Schweitzer, Health Aideg and Mr. Mike Newson, Security Officer. We appreciate the work accomplished by all of our classified people, and those who have labored on Bonanza's behalf for a decade have earned a special Thank tr You! When asked to comment on ten years at B.H.S., Mrs. Shuptrine stated, I have en- joyed seeing the kids develop their own traditions and pride. Mrs. Schweitzer add- ed, I don't know where the time went. I have enjoyed this school very much along with my job as Health Aide, which is most certainly a 'varied oc- cupation'! Cafeteria Manager Mrs. Bieber said, We've made good progress and seen a lot of changes in styles and food. We went off the federal program, which gives us more leeway with our food, and more students patronize the cafeteria now. I've really en- joyed my jobf' Banker Jackie Assence remarked, This is the longest l've stayed on one job! I enjoy the spice and I love the work?
