Wa Soc'al Studies Social Studies was an in- tricate aspect of each stu- dent's academic career. Bonanza required all students to complete World History, American History, and American Government in order to graduate. During the tenth anniver- sary of Bonanza, many new books were used Guest speakers made students more aware of the local democratic process Bengals in this department were also given the opportunity to participate in the Close Up Program which traveled to Washington The history of life was a fascinating contribution to our Decade of Excellence at Bonanza High School GV I Explaining the difference betvi a liberal and conservative, I Rycroft lectures her U.S. Governr class. 310.9 l Giving a lesson on ancient peoples, Mrs. Quinn discusses world history. l Escaping from his U.S. Govern- ment class, Mr. Grauberger hides in the hall.

The 85 86 school year was a great year for the Science Department New Biology textbooks were bought for Biology classes and a laser was bought for physics The science depart ment also had a new com puter to use There was a great in crease of students interest in science classes last year The reason for such a big change is that students realized they needed good science classes in order to get into better col leges stated Science Department chairman Mrs Linda Orr Science teachers enjoyed teaching science for many different reasons One of the reasons I enjoy teaching science is because it is challenging and it is different l Examining the Protein Synthesis model at the Science Fair James Diehl enjoys himself Q4 Escada of Science l O if 191' tffw-mm. fy?Z?g W' er ?gfZ 7 ?'Z9 nsmmg D ,, Q! , VV l Mr. Sestini explains basic Biology to students.
