The American Legion Auxiliary chose these students who spent a week at LSU, setting up their own state. They were responsible for the complete operation of their government. Mr. Doyle was a student at Bolton High School, graduated from Pineyville High School, and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Louisiana College in 1959. At that time he came to Bolton as a Social Studies teacher. ln 1966 he earned his Masters Degree from Northwestern State University and was assistant principal from the following year through 1970. Mr. Doyle assumed the position of Principal in 1971, and he has maintained that position over the past nine years. Mr. Doyle, a respected man of stature, has led a dedicated, progressive administration, and has shown those qualities necessary to maintain committmentand concern to students.
