The Council consisting of elected representatives, one from each homeroom, broadened its activities under the newly revised constitution. Pupils watched as this organization sponsored the drive for Halloween apples for Central State Hospital and the annual Canned Food Drive for Christmas boxes. RECOGNITION OF ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT One of the highest honors a student can attain is election to Beta Tau Sigma. Bolton's chapter of the National Honor Society. Outstanding character, leadership, scholarship, and service are the bases for membership. Fifteen percent of the senior class and five percent of the junior class may be chosen. The National Honor Society presents honor plaques each six weeks to the homerooms with the highest percentage of honor roll students.
