CAMPUS QUEEN AND FAVORITES By the vote of the entire student body Sally Pitts was chosen Campus Queen for 1950. Hav- ing been elected Favorite twice before, Sally was three times chosen Best All-Around in her class, elected Bruin Editor and Most Popular Senior Girl. The students chose as their Favorites: Betty Jean Thompson, Exchange Editor of “Cum- tux,” Cheerleader, Booster, and outstanding debator; Gayle Savoy, peppy Cheerleader for the third consecutive year; Maemarye Wolf, whose beautiful voice has many times added to school programs; Mary Ann Kelley, Asso- ciate Editor of Bruin, and Vice-President of the Senior Class, who was voted Prettiest Senior Girl; Anne McLemore, “Cumtux” Editor and Vice-President of the Band Boosters, who was selected Best All-Around Senior Girl; Patsy King, lively Associate Editor of “Cumtux” and Secretary of the National Honor Society; Dot Raxsdale, popular Cheerleader and member of the Treasury Staff; and Jackie Till, who has been chosen Best All-Around in her class for the second year.
