CLASSES After four years at Bolton the Seniors feel as if they own the place . . . and they almost do, for from the Senior class come the leaders in all school activities. Looking back at their high school lives, they remember all the dances, the elections that held everyone in suspense, the campus beauties roaming around, and the many other things that add to the fun of four years at Bolton. These boys and girls have made themselves famous in the debating and the music worlds, in a scholastic and also in an all-round way. When they leave us, we will miss them terribly, but they have to go and make a place for themselves in the outside world. We wish luck and success to our class of I944. Now we come to the Juniors, who are by now seasoned students in their third happy year at Bolton. Since they have neither the vim, vigor, nor vitality of the Freshmen, nor the pompous dignity of the Seniors, they are a happy combination of both, Their scholastic and athletic achievements have left nothing to be desired. Besides contributing their brains and brawn to school work, they have been right in there pitching in the school's war effort. Now, as they are nearing the end of their third year, soon to take the places of the Seniors, the Juniors are realizing their responsibilities and getting ready to take their places as dignified Seniors. The Sophomores, at last in their second year in Bolton, thought they would never get out of the ignorant days as Freshies. They no longer buy elevator tickets or shudder when they come face to face with those horrible teachers. They have finally gotten wise to the pranks of the Juniors and Seniors and can at last play those same pranks on the lowly Freshman who will arrive in due time. They have accomplished much in their first and second years at Bolton and are very proud of their class officers. With two years ahead of them, they expect to live up to and exceed the reputations of the other classes which have gone before. The Freshmen's first days at Bolton are hilarious ones. They are all ex- cited because they know what is in store for them. They find themselves dashing around corners and rushing through halls dodging those terrible Sophomores. lt is all in fun, though, and they don't mind it so terribly much. They have loads of fun trying to recognize their friends under the layers of lipstick and shoe polish. For a while they roam through this immense build- ing wondering if they'll ever get used to it. Now that they have gotten over the leap from grammar school to high school, they are beginning to think of all the fun and honors in store for them during their High School Life.
