4205 SENIORS Now the time has come to lend thine ears to a bit of 'au revoir' and pleasant dreams. This time worn phrase coined by the Old Maestro, Ben Bernie, just seems to fit in exactly. We seniors can't realize that we've been in Bolton four years and that very soon we will be using this expressive way of saying good-bye ,to high school forever. Four years ago we seniors were a group of frightened, immature, disor- ganized freshmen. Today we stand ready to face life as life is and feel that we shall be able to find our places in the desirable way of life. As in the past, it has been the seniors' lot to take the initiative in many instances. We gladly worked overtime to write prize-winning Biggest News, we willingly spent hours in the library writing history articles, we helped fresh- men find their classes, we worked cooperatively to make the '39 class the best senior class of Bolton High. By supporting Cumtux, Bruin, the football team, the activity plan, and the basketball team, by going to rally with the determination and energy which automatically claimed recognition, the seniors gained top honors. But don't think that we have no fun in us--we're fond of good times, too. Remember the time when the halls were filled with smoke and the paper chute was burninggwelll-gossip has it that it was a senior who was the guilty person, and when some young gentleman's face was quite red when he stood alone on the campus minus an important part of his wearing apparel, and when, on those several days at activity period the east study hall was filled with seniors who had been planning to elect a class president. We lost no time in not doing it. Laying all joking aside, the '39 clcss is destined for unusual fame and Qrosperity. lt is written in the stars that we shall bring honor to our future alma mater. Here's hoping the writing in the stars is authentic. We propose a toast to the Senior Class of Bolton High School: i To these who have attained success We wish more joy and happiness To bring to them a greater fame And to add glory to Bolton's name.
