' ' :r-.- ' i ' 4MS With enthusiasm filling the air on October 25, one could see that it was homecoming night. As the ball flew in the air proclaiming kick-off, the game had offically started. Time passed and by the first quarter Bolsa led 3-0. More good plays were executed and now Bolsa was ahead lo-o. Finally half time arrived and the princesses rode in on convertible corvettes. Homecoming queen Regina Black ' s name was lit up by fire- crackers. The game continued and Bolsa had a win of lo-o. This victory made the 1985 Hoi exciting, but memorable. 2. The assembly started with a special introduc- tion of the waterpolo team who, after i6 years, were League Champs. Next alumni JV Yell and Varsity Song dis- played their talent in some outstanding routines. Followed by Coach Greg Shadid who gave one of his award winning and energetic speeches. The highlight of the afternoon was the Sen- iors humorous rendition of The Homecoming Queen has got a Gun. Finally, it was traditions turn as each class showed their spirit through class comp.; but the cheering wasn ' t quite as loud as when it was when it was announced that sixth period was cancelled. The not so atmo- spheric gym turned into A Night On Broad- way thanks to A.S.B. who designed and deco- rated an exciting rendition of this famous street. Broadway may have its hit musicals, but on homecoming night Bolsa had more than its share of hits with music provided by the talented guys of Guess Productions. These D.J. ' s kept every- one dancing to their favorite songs including Lover Come Back To Me by Dead or Alive. Well if you were tired of dancing you could always find your way to the refreshment stand, take pictures, or socialize with friends and alum- ni. A very memorable night indeed, but when the music stopped, everyone wanted an encore ' ' โ Homecoming Dai Homecoming Dance โ 19 spirit in Action Tuesday ' s competition was the Human Ski. It was difficult situation, trying to bal- ance yourself on two person ' s back, while they are crawling, but it was completed. The class of ' 86, came in first place, ' 87, placed second, the class of ' 88, came in third, and last, but not least, the Freshman placed 4th. Dress up day was to dress as a hippie. โ Spirit Week Wednesday, students came all dressed up in their wild toga ' s to compete in the licorice relay. Every class did very well. Seniors came in second place. Juniors took first place. Sophomores third place, and again in last place, were the Freshman. Competitors still had a great time. What good sports! Spirit Week Real Country Hoedown On the evening of Friday, November ist, Bolsa ' s very own girls gym transformed into a country jamboree for the annual rip-roarin ' hoe- dowTi, otherwise known as the Sadie Hawkins Dance! First on the agenda was to get yourself hitched to that special someone! If your partner wasn ' t so willing to tie the knot, you could re- quest a shotgun wedding. Your unsuspecting victim would be lassoed and dragged over to the ol hitchen post. Wedded bliss only lasted until 10 p.m. when the license expired. What comes after the wedding? Why the honeymoon of course. Spanish club sponsored a fun-filled five minutes in sunny Acapulco, com- plete with a wedding cupcake for two, cham- pagne, (7-up in this case), and photos to start that family album. 5 Milce is having a Great Ol ' Time. The band and tall flags are ver) ' proud of themselves and in representing the school. They have done very well already in parade season. In their first competition parade, the band and drum major, Joe Bogue received first place tro- phies for their performance. The Tall Flag team overcame all other flag and drill teams, and walked away with a trophy of sweepstakes. Football Homecoming brought on a lot of tough work, but the members han- dled it well, and put on a fantastic Home- coming Show. With the help of the student body, by keeping our campus clean, the ASB cabi- net was able to provide two good bands (and one bad one) for your entertain- ment.
