You have the neces- sary tools to enable you to live a full life. You are prepared to enter college. You will suc- ceed in college and in life if you possess one thing - COURAGE. There are two real kinds of courage. There is the physical courage displayed by the sol- dier on the battlefield or the athelete on the field of sport, and there is the moral courage which enables us to confront our daily tasks without fear. Courage to do the right thingg to say no to temptationg to endure and strive for self-betterment. Courage to put our ideals and that which we have learned into operation throughout our lives. Knowledge is of no value unless you have the courage to turn that learning into the ful- fillment of your ideals. Someone once said: Mere ideals are the cheapest things in life. The realization of those ideals requires real courage. Good luck. DeWitt E. Hooker Major FA-ORC Superintendent 7
