BOED1CKER SUPERINTENDENT June, 19 S3 Dear Seniors: Very shortly you, the Class of 19S3, will receive well-deserved congratulations from many people regarding your upcoming graduation. This Lb certainly one othose times when you have reached a goal that you bet for yourself years before. It is also an excellent point to begin fashioning new goals for the future. School has provided you with the setting for different types of learning experiences. Through the instruction of your teachers, you have acquired a lot of knowledge about the world in which we live. Of equal importance, though, is what your school years have taught you about the type of person you wish to become. Congratulations on your achievements at Bolivar Central School and I wish you much success in the future. Sincerely, Thomas E. Boedicker Superintendent of Schools TEB:cg Appreciation We, the class of 1983, express our gratitude to our class advisors, Mrs. Fitzpatrick and Mr. Stably. Mrs. Fitzpatrick's organizational efficiency and Mr. Stabley's spirited pep talks have guided us through many prosperous candy sales, magazine sales, and dances. Our prize-winning floats were also results of their zeal in forming committees and in overseeing our artistic ventures. As we spent the fruits of our labor during our senior year, traveling to Darien Lake and sponsoring the senior dinner and prom, our advisors helped us to create the most fun possible. Mrs. Fitzpatrick and Mr. Stabley, for your genuine concern and expert guidance, we are most appreciative and grateful. From kindergarten graduation to becoming colonists in the fifth grade to debuting in the junior high talent show, we've worked together Perhaps our most cherished memories, however, are those of our high school years. The most difficult yet happiest years. Together we studied for finals (sometimes in vain), practiced for that all important playoff game, painted the senior's tank when we were only juniors, cheered at the football or basketball games, rehearsed for musicals and concerts, partied, square danced, slept through study halls or homeroom, researched for term papers, rode the bus to B.O.C.E.S., and spent the weekend just being with your friends, and preparing yourself for Monday morning. Each one of you has memories of those crazy times with your friends that only you know about (or so you hope!), but that also makes each one of us individuals. Perhaps the most important lesson we've learned as the Class of 1983 is to keep our individuality while growing together The best of luck to each one of you. Although the Bulldogs placed first in the secion, they lost their semi-final game to Warsaw by a mere two points (6-8). They did, however, go undefeated in the Tri-County League (4-0) and beat rival Cuba. The Bulldogs finished the season with a respectable record of 6-3, thanks to the hard work of both players and coaches. 1 Bulldogs Front Row: D. Youngs, I. McDonald, B. Lawton, mgr, S. Jennings, D.
