The play, which was based on the biography of the same name by Helen Doss, is the story of a minister and his wife who adopt children of mixed ancestry. Coach Robert Dutch Dunning has ended his third season as head football coach with an amazing record including his second Alle-Catt Championship. Over his sensational three seasons he has accumulated 18 wins, two losses and one tie. Coach Dunning is exceptionally proud of this year's season, for it was an undefeated one for the Bulldogs. ” As usual Bolivar fielded another fine defensive squad and placed two men on the Times Herald All Star Team, Bob Codispoti and Dennis Cole. Codispoti also placed third in the voting for the Gary Sage Award, which is presented to the outstanding player in the area. This season the Bulldogs under the coaching of Robert Dutch Dunning, who took over as varsity coach for the first time, compiled a 9-9 record. Bolivar's lack of tall men to control the boards was a vital factor in the somewhat under average season for the Bulldogs, although they did come up with two stunning upsets over a much taller Alfred-Almond team, which controlled the top spot in the league for the major part of the season. Bolivar did place one man on the Times Hearald All-Star Team, Bob Codispoti, and this was his second straight year on the team. The Junior Varsity under Coach Watkins had a fine season as they turned in a 14-4 record.
