enior f9 ay 'Here Comes Charlie' was presented by the Senior Clas on December 15. The play, a 3-act comedy-farce, takes place in the home of Larry Elliot CM ke Kellerl a young broker. Larry, who thought he was going to be guardian of a small boy, was shocked to find he had taken a girl to raise, seventee and pretty. Charlotte fKaren Laulainenl is called Charlie, hence the error. Why the jolt? Well, Larry is engaged to the imperious Vivian Smythe-Kersey lLinda Mueller! and is further hen- ridden by a snobbish aunt. Tb have another female in the house de- lights him not. Charlie arrives from Arkansas accompanied by Uncle Aleck Twiggs KDale Fiedlerl, like herself a true product of the Ozarks. Farcical situations develop from the social blunders of the new arrivals, especially when Aunt Fanny Farnham CNa.ncy Kiserl , determined to make Uncle Aleck earn his board and keep, tries to turn him into a society butler. This, plus other situations, conspiracies, and many belly laughs, delighted both the afternoon and evening audiences. Cast in supporting roles were: Larry's cynical college pal, Gary Wilson, a haughty society matron, Lois Gillaspieg her sappy son, Richard Forth, a comical Irish maid, Alma Gillespie, and her Irish policeman fiance, Dick Roundtree. we appreciate the help given us by Dian Henry, prompterg Carol Ann Terry, prompterg and Judy Smarz, properties. we also would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Davis and Mr. Marum for their able direction and exhausted patience. f , 4, I A ,l 3 f
