Class History we entered H gh Schoo1:h119S3 and were initiated the llth of September by the Sophomores. In return, we held a skating party at the Rollerdrome in Centralia. Karen Laulainen, our Carnival queen candidate was runner-up. Linda Mueller and Ron Poage received the Babe Ruth Awards. Elected officers for the year were: President, Ronald Poage, Vice- President, Keith Ikerd, Secretary-Treasurer, Mike Keller, Reporter 5 Nancy Kiser. Our class advisor was Mrs. Livingstone. We started out our Sophomore year with the joy of getting to initiate the Freshmen. Mike and Karen were the runners-up for Daisy Mae and Lil' Abner. In December we sponsored a Teen-age Dance. Our candidate, linda Mueller was chosen as Carnival Queen. Class officers for that year were: President, Ronald Poage, Vice- President, Keith Ikerd, Secretary, Nancy Kiser, Reporter, Linda Mueller. Ol' advisor was Mr. Marum. John Pinkerton left us during our Sophomore year. During our Junior year we gained two new members, Merilyn Tobin, who had been with us in the eighth grade, and Alma Gillespiq from Bandon Oregcn We also lost two members, Ronald Poage and Keith Ikerd. Then. in November, Merilyn left us again. We sponsored the Spaghetti Dinner. The Junior-Senior Banquet and the Prom were held in April with 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as the theme. We also helped the Seniors with their play, Hill Billy Weddin . Nancy Kiser and Gary Wilson were selected Daisy Mae and Lil' Abner for the Sadie Hawkins Tolo. Class officers weree- President, Karen Laulainen, Vice-President, Gary Wilson, Secretary, Nancy Kiser, and Reporter, Linda Mueller. Mr. Tovreawa our class advisor. - We started our Senior year with seven eager members, but lost Alma Gillespie in December. Mrs. Gaffney joined us in January for the second- semester. Lois Gillespie was Daisy Mae for the Sadie Hawlclns Tolo. Eng and Queen for the May Court were Michael Keller and Nancy Kiser. We gave 'Here Comes Charlie for our Senior Play on December 15. On April 12 we were honored by the Juniors with the Junior-Senior Banquet with Fairyland Romances as the theme. DAR Representative hom the senior girls was Karen Laulainen. Class officers were: President, Michael Keller, Vice-President, Gary Wilson, Secretary, linda Mueller and Reporter, Nancy Kiser. Our class advisor was Mr. Marum. The class flower is the pink rose bud. 'Either never attempt or else accomplisliv is our motto. Our class colors are silver and pink. Chosen as King and Queen of the Prom were Gary Wilson and Karen Laulainen.
