The city, larger than New York, was named after the famous Professor Karen Laulainen who is still Professor of Inter- planetary Languages and Science at the University. We quickly land in the midst of the beautiful world-famous campus. Out on the lawn, taking a breather, whom do we see, but Nancy Kiser, Professor of Music, Director of Art, Instructor of Universal Stenography and Radio-Typing at the University. She also manufactures high-fidelity, supersonic organs. Well, hello! I 've been waiting for you I she calls. It's almos t time for our reunion V' Amidst all the hand-shalclng and welcomes, she explains, 'The Prof and I have been talking over our old high- school days. She reminded me of our plan. Secretary Vanderbogg just called and said she's taking leave and will meet us at Curber. Swell I we all echo. 'Get the Prof I We're ready to take off I yodels J. Michael. Here she comes 1 Alma informs us, as Dr. Laulainen exits by way of the ivy-covered door. I saw you out here, and I lmew why you came, so I've dismissed my classes for two weeks, and I'rn ready to leave. The janitor is bring- ing our jetmobiles, Namy, she concluded. Five minutes later our little squadron of seven are flying through the air with the greatest of ease, led by our most illustrious, capa- ble leader, J. Michael. The time flies fast, as J. Michael points out scenic points of interest, and describes them in glowing terms. Two hours 18'b81',E spot the towering Biltsumore Hotel of Curber, wherewe are to be lavish- ly entertained by the Chamber of Commerce, much to our surprise. We land near the airport, amidst much fanfare. How did you lmow we were coming? exclaimed Mr. Wilson. Secretary Vanderbogg teeveephoned and told us, and she also re- served seven suites for you in the Biltsumore Hotel, explained the M8.y0I'o 'Three cheers for old Linnie 1 our crowd shouts unceremoniously. Come, says the Mayor, The whole city has turned out to welcome their favorite graduates. And with that, he escorts us to our suites, while the crowds go wild with welcoming cheers. , Now, late in the evening, let's look in on seven happy, but tired people. Who is snoozing peacefully in an overstuffed chair in the lob- by, wearing earphones carrying reports on the stock market which soothe his nerves? Mr. Gary Wilson, of course. Who is trying to decipher some strange hieroglyphics engraved on a wall in the Oriental Room? Professor Karen Laulainen, naturally. Who is contentedly tapping all the glassware with a spoon to test their tone while writing a new symphony in Venusian shorthand? Pro- fessor Nancy Kiser, naturally. who is on the teeveephone to the Capitol tallclng over the national budget with the President? Secretary Linda Vanderbogg, of course. Who is playing with a toy sailboat in the bathtub in her suite? Admiral Lois Gillaspie, certainly. who is having the time of her life playing with the Hote1's tee- veephone Switchboard? Miss Alma Gillespie, as you'd expect. And who is entertaining guests in the Game Room, doing an im- pression of that famous teen-age thrill of the by-gone Rock-and-Roll Era, Elvis Presley? Nobody but that jolly fellow, J. Michael Keller. Isn't it a strange world?
