Selective membership for this national brotherhood included thirty pledges. Among this year's activities were building of a bonfire and float for the Homecoming celebration, crowning of Duchess Inez Elguezabal at the Golden Plume Ball, awarding of scholarships, and working with the Valkyries on the carnival. The group's officers were Iim Coulson. duke: Roger Teed, scribe: Rod Ehlers, chancellor of the exchequer. and Wally Walters. the horrible executioner. The advisor was Mr. Underkoiler.

The purpose of the club is to promote a direct interest in the language, customs, and culture of Spanish-speaking countries. The club held monthly meetings with varied programs such as talks by Latin American students, playing of Spanish games. moving pictures. and Latin American dancing. In addition. Spanish Table was held two noons each week in the Student Union. Spanish was spoken at both. Officers for the year were Pat Herr. president: Anna Lawwill, vice- president: Milo Pope. secretary-treasurer: and Mrs. Camille Cramer, advisor, assisted by Enriqueta Salinas.
