Once every week the members tested their linguistic skills by con- versing in German at a lunch table in the Student Union. Among their other activities were German word games and films. Also Dr. de Neufville showed slides taken during his European trip the previous summer. President of the organization was Clarence Harper, with Paul Tracy as vice-president and Lila Iohnson as secretary-treasurer. The group was advised by Dr. de Neutville.

I I orking to promote a concern for world affairs through local action is the purpose of the International Relations Club. It is composed of students who are interested in a better acquaintance with some of the main national and international trends. The club, meeting every Friday noon in the Union. helped sponsor the World University Service, featured student speakers and discussions at weekly meetings, and held evening pot luck dinners to hear guest speakers. Officers this year backed by the advisorship of Miss McBirney were: Fred Sower. president: Ron Barton, vice-president: Ann Scott. secretary: Carl Shonk. treasurer: Robbie Alworth. social chairman: Alma Humble, membership chairman.

Selective membership for this national brotherhood included thirty pledges. Among this year's activities were building of a bonfire and float for the Homecoming celebration, crowning of Duchess Inez Elguezabal at the Golden Plume Ball, awarding of scholarships, and working with the Valkyries on the carnival. The group's officers were Iim Coulson. duke: Roger Teed, scribe: Rod Ehlers, chancellor of the exchequer. and Wally Walters. the horrible executioner. The advisor was Mr. Underkoiler.
