THIS OUINTET IS AT THE HELM Miss Clara Otness Mr. Seth Freer- Mr. Zed Foy Mr. W. D. Vincent Mr. Ed. Hoshaw FACULTY Page 18 A halt-hundred strong stands the taculty ot Boise High School. These teachers guide fourteen hundred students into the highways and by-paths ot learning. Their influence is lelt by hundreds ot boys and girls who go on to college, out into the world ot business, and into homes ot their own. ln addition to their class room activities many ot the teachers devote much time and energy to helping the students in extra-curricular activities. Qui' principal, Mr. Foy, stands at the helm. Beside him is Mr. Seth Freer, keeper ot detention, supervisor ot noon study hall, adviser ot the Boys' Federation, and director oi monitors. Mr. Ed I-loshaw ably counsels the boys and assists in the job ot coaching athletics. Miss Clara Otness, dean ot girls, is chairman ot the social committee, adviser ol the Girls' Club, and director ot the orderlies. Mr. W. D. Vincent as superintendent ot schools keeps a weather eye on the activities oi all.

THE BOYS FEDER ATION AT PLAY Sproat, Pyper, Collins, Charrier BUYS' FEDERATION ' t Boise High School, the Boys' Federation ' ' h' t r , under Resolving to be ot more service to the boys and o successfully began and carried through one ot the most truittul years ot its is o y the guidance ot Mr. Edward Hoshaw and Mr. Seth Freer. Bill Sproat as president was assisted by Bob Pyper, vice-presidentp Tom Collins, secretary, and lim Charrier, treasurer. Senior representatives were Bob Trask, Clayton lones and Calvin Evans. Chosen trom the junior boys were lim King, Perry Silver and Ray Wagoner. Lyle Duncan and Bob Barbour represented the sophomore boys in the Federation. Cn Boys' Day, sponsored by the Boys' Federation and held November l7, the faculty and the boys traded places. Weslie Rhodes took over the duties of principalg Bob Burke was assistant principal, lerry Smith, clean ot boysg and Lorraine Murphy, the only girl on the faculty, dean ot girls. Another new project was the sale ot book covers to students. The pep rally and bontire before the Nampa game was planned and executed by this group. December lS, the Boys' Federation presented its annual Christmas tormal dance, with Calvin Evans as general chairman. Throughout the year, the Boys' Federation has aided new boys and set a high standard ot service for future students to tollow.
