The Student Council at Work Mathews, Brigham, Robinson, Charrier, Farmer O 1 STUDENT COUNCIL Student Council activities for 1939-40 were under the capable leadership of Betty Mathews, first girl student body president for nine years. The goal of this year's council was to give every willing student a chance to take part in school activities. Talent auditions were held to discover new talent. A popular addition to the opening school party was the game room. Under the guidance of Betty Mathews the first State Student Council convention was held in Boise in the Capitol building and received state-wide recognition. The Student Council consisted of Peggy Brigham, vice-presidentg Nancy Robinson, secretaryg lim Charrier, treasurer, and Warren Farmer, corresponding secretary. Representatives chosen by the classes for the year were Tom Collins and Rose Mateovich, seniors, Frances Fitzgerald and Marion Sullivan, juniorsg Bob Barbour and Patty Anne Oxley, sophomores.
