There are many persons around Boise high school to whom this year's COVRIER could be worthily dedicated. But since not all deserving ones can be included, the staff felt it wished to oger what honor it can to the one person who represents perhaps just 21 little more of our school than any other. Mr. John Sawyer, now completing his thirty-first year as science teacher in B.H.S., is the oldest instructor in point of service on the faculty. Numbered among his pupils for many years have been students whose parents have also been his pupils. Although he has seen countless students come and go, he has never lost his interest in watching pupils learn. He has maintained always an unfailing kindness and courtesy with young and old alike. 'PHE COURIER does not intend even to guess how many students Mr. Sawyer has had in all his classes during his years here, but it is certain that all of them are better citizens than they would have been had they not come in Contact with him.
