, .W,,... W. .. Virginia Rhea, secretary Vern McGowan, president Valerie Delena, treasurer Bill Anderson, v ce president The largest class ever to graduate from Boise high school are now preparing to walk across the stage as students for the last time. Four busy and happy years have sped by since they entered the school as inexperienced freshmen. During those years the class of l938 made a place for itself in school activities. Vern McGowan president, Bill Anderson vice president, Virginia Rhea secretary, and Valerie Delana treasurer led the class in its final year at Boise high. On the athletic field, in the classroom, on the stage, in the pressroom and in the orchestra pit class members displayed their ability. Graduating seniors were largely responsible for bringing the state basketball championship cup to Boise for the first time in 14 years, and they led the football team to top rank in the Big Ten championship race. Donald Galbreaith was chosen student body president. Two other student offices fell to seniors, the vice presidency to Roberta Rodgers and the secretaryship to Dorothy Coon. Eliza- beth Yriondo was president of the Girls' club, Charles Lenfest headed the Boys' federation and Mildred McDowell controlled activities of the Cr.A.A. Lucille Laubaugh led the big sisters. Elizabeth Bracken and Dick Mathison served as editors of the l-ligh Lights. Bill Hart edited the Courier. Ted McCutcheon was R.C.T.C. major. Though the vacancies will be filled, many a senior will be sorely missed when school begins next fall. Meanwhile, to college, to work, to far-off places scatter the class of '38 seeking new fields to conquer. Pag 21
