New curtains for the gym and high school auditorium and cement tor the new tennis courts were purchased as part of the work of the student council during the past year. Thus the student council conquered many obstacles that arose during the year under the able supervision of Donald Galbreaith president and his council, including Roberta Rodgers vice president, Dorothy Ccon secretary, Dick Armstrong treasurer and George Lentest corre- sponding secretary. From the classes came representatives, among whom were lack Dunaway and Betty McDonald sophomores, ludy l-lallstrom and Chris Alexander juniors and Bob Day and Wayne Peterson seniors. The annual custom ot decorating a huge Christmas tree in the main hall was again managed by the council, helping to carry out the yuletide spirit ot the students. Acting as the executive group of the school government, this group met and solved many problems of students and the student-body with the assistance of Miss Margaret Sinclair, who at mid-year took over Miss Karen Kieldsen's duties as advisor ot the council.
