1982 The Year That Should Have Been Bogalusa, the state's top-ranked team in Class AAA football, wasn't without tal- ent. This fact was proven in the selection of the Class AAA All-State team, as Bo- galusa had four players chosen. Quarter- back Orlando Butter Lundie was a solid pick as the state's Outstanding Offensive Player. Joining Butter on the all-state team were wide receiver Rogie Magee, offensive guard Jimmy Breazealeg and de- fensive tackle Sean Smith. Tight-end Mark Bennett was an honorable mention selection. Being district champions had its re- wards, too. The Lumberjacks, who steam- rolled everyone in District 8-AAA, landed nine first-team berths on the Coaches All- District team. ln addition, quarterback Butter Lundie was chosen Most Valuable Player on offense and Lewis Murray was named Coach ofthe Year. Landing berths on the first-team offense were center Wes Robertson, guard Jimmy Breazeale, tight end Mark Bennett, wide receiver Rogie Magee, and Lundie. On the first-team de- fense were tackle Sean Smith, line back- ers Clay Foreman, and Bruce Plummer, and defensive back Donnie Adams. l. Anticipating the next offensive play is Ricky Warren. 2. Looking for running room is Butter Lundie. 3. Here come the mighty Lumberjacks! 4. Finally brought down by a defender is Mark Ben- nett. 5. Ready for action is the Lumberjack of- fense. 6.
