Brigadoon 'Brigadoon was a musical put on by Boerne High School students and was directed by Miss Carolyn Kemplin. The play ran for three successful nights and brought a touch of magic to our campus. The cast and crew soon learned what they had undertook as they spent night after night building and practicing. The wedding scene added romance to the plot. The Singing in the play was of high quality. Steve Schroeder, Deanne Whiting, and Mel Ellenwood held lead roles in the play. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes. NBRIGADOON'

The International Thespian Society is the only secondary honor society for theatre students. Membership is by earned credits in theatre and theatre- related work. A member must be active in two different fields of theatre, such as acting and set design. Students who have not yet earned full membership but are working towards it are known as apprentices. Membership in ITS can be instrumental in a student's obtaining a scholarship or entrance to a theatre program at the university level. The 1984-85 BHS Choir had a record enrollment and a new director. With this large enroll- ment, the choir was able to do several things. They had a 82 CHOIR The Senior members of the choir were Tina Lopez, Laura Kight, Mel Ellenwood, Deanne Whiting, Toshi Morita, lana Lawrence, and Thearon Landrum. Christmas Concert and sang a large selection of songs. In February, three choir members at- tended UIL competition. Two of these members qualified for state competition. To end the year, the choir sang at Graduation. Miss Chandler felt that it was a produc- tive year.
