The 1984-85 girls track team consisted of some very dedicated members. These girls practiced hard aH year and in AAarch,they were forced out of the gym due to construction. They were faced with the problem of finding new dressing rooms. Yet, this did not seem to destroy their determina- tion. Another part of the construc- tion was a new all-weather track. The girls lost their first meet in Iuncdon, but tmngs bnghtened after this meet. For the first time ever, they won six meets in a row. This led to their district win in Smithson Valley. As a result of this meet, eleven gwb advanced to regonab. At least two people placed in each event. There was not a lot of first places, but they were consistent in placing second, third, and fourth.
