High Achievers Succeed Top Left: Outstanding Players, Trisha Immel, Susan Parker, and Lisa Bernia-Masters. Center Left- All-District Players, Staci Allen, Susan Parker, and Claudia Uecker. The Varsity Volleyball team went to three tournaments in 1984. The Tivy tournament gave the team some good experience for the upcoming year. They were victorious over two Austin teams, but were defeated by Southwest to finish in the semi-finals of consolation. The lncarnate Word Tourna- ment proved to be more suc- cessful when the girls won a third place trophy by overcoming Southside, St. Agnes, and Ursline. Leadership was shown by Susan Parker and Kelley Carpenter. They were awarded outstanding player trophies by the referees and coaches. The last tournament before district began, was the Southside Tournament. The team was forc- ed into consolation by the loss to Bandera, an age old rival. The team triumphed over Cole and Poteet to win first place in con- solation. Claudia Uecker received an all-tournament award to add to the team's accomplishments. Soccer Went to State L to R: Steve Fossler, justin Hood, Sebastian Wren, Kenny Alf, Kevin Wood, Darren Kruse, Mel Ellenwood, Hector Moreno, Rocky Wright, Al Plunkett, Mark Williams, Coach Tausch, Curtis Lang, Travis Tausch, Monte Blevins, Mike Lawson, Kelly Fenner, jason LeBleu, and Coach Lawson. The 1984-85 Primos Soc- cer team had a good year. Their record was six wins and four losses. The teams included in their league were San Marcos, New Braunfels, Lockhart, and Bulverde. The Primos qualified for state and went to San Marcos. The record at state was two losses and atie. The Boerne Cosmos had an outstanding season with a record of seven and zero. Their competition included teams from New Braunfels and Canyon High Schools. This team also went to the state Tournament and lost the three games they played. They were spon- sored by the Optimist Club and instructed by Coach Curtis Lang blocks the opponent. Mike Lawson works toward the goal. Stogkman and Mfg. Mendez, SOCCER
