This year the Greyhounds had to over- come many hardships, such as the new U.l.L. rules to end the season with a second place finish. Boerne placed 13 players on the all-district teams. The year was considered a success with an 8-3 season and three players being selected to the All Southwest Texas team. The pre-season began with scrimmages at South-San West and Medina Valley at home. The games before district gave the coaches time to sharpen several key positions. Boerne won 4 of 5 games, losing only to Hon- do. Hays, St. Gerards, Fredericksburg and Holy Cross fell to the improving Hounds. During District the Greyhounds sailed through the schedule until the Bandera game. Boerne was dominated on offense and defense during the entire game. Bandera ended an undefeated season as District Champs. Boerne advanced to the playoffs with a second place finish. Boerne played Medina Valley at Seguin, losing 26-0. Fourteen seniors graduated and Boerne faces a rebuilding job for the 1985 season. All-District Players f1st rowl: B. J.
