H I5 TOR Y As we look back we find ourselves surrounded by the memory of a large rock building It was here we began our school days In the first grade Mrs Wilson faced the shining tear stained faces of Bunny Kay Donald Jo Ann Fritz and Jack The giant strides and see saws were the main attraction In the second grade Mrs Young was the lucky teacher Joan always won the spelling matches and boy chase girl was the popular game The third grade brought Molly Arthur Dallas and Bob Our dramatic ability was brought out in George Washington and family The whole school was thr1lled with the performance In the fourth grade Mrs Bergman had the pleasure of teaching the little group M J and Jr Joined us to add to our platoon of Junior gangsters Came the fifth grade and with it Billy Dolly Charley Wayne and Clemente Mrs Rozelle spent many a day trying to convince us that kissing games were not for youngsters In the sixth grade came Mrs Millard Martha and Sarah and silence In the seventh grade who was waiting in the doorway? None other than Mrs Millard flanked by Mary Ellen and Arley Next year brought a new grade f8th a new school a new pupil Frances Clute and new teacher Mrs Zoeller In this class our artistic ability was brought out Then came the exciting freshman year and with xt James and Jamie It took the faculty four years to convince us that high school is not a mass of fun and laughter The boys were all 1n1t1ated 1nto the select group by way of the forcible removal of the trouser We even managed to drive our English teacher Miss Griffin into matrimony During our Sophomore year we behaved in the manner in which we are accustomed like raving lunatics and Darla Joined the merry throng Now comes our Junior year Never will we forget our work creating ten million crepe paper flowers to carry out our theme of Moonlight and Roses for the Jr Sr Prom The Greyhound Bark was faithfully pub lished bi weekly by the untiring paper staff Luckily Florence Winter came just in the nick of time to liven up our droopy class At long last the Senior year and Jim Menhennett The annual was to be our Senior project and it will long be remembered The picture man should be given a medal for his patience and us a mint to pay him The walls shook with gaiety and laughter on the day we received our rings In our Senior year many f1rsts occurred such as winning district in football bi district in basketball district 1n track and b1 district in baseball Now history brings us to the present Prom time has come and gone On May Z8 on the Memorial Field we received our hard worked for diplomas This was really a happy night and one we will never forget Florence was valedictorian and Jamie was salutatorian This concludes the history of the Senior Class of 1954 We couldn t possibly include all of the crazy and exciting experiences we had during our entire 12 years but we can give you a short preview of our school lives We have stuck together through thick and thin and we have been rewarded by the close friendship we now have I hope every senior class in the future can say the same for it is truly something of which to be proud GOOD BYE GOOD LUCK AND AUF WEIDERSEHEN '! J. , ' l J. , - Correction please, in Mrs. Insall's algebra class, you could have heard a fraction drop. Archie, Mildred,
