Majored in biology, history, education and admin- istration, Minored in biology. Was in the Army for four years and 8 months. While overseas, served in Africa, Italy, France, and Austria. Started as principal of the Boeme Grade School in 1947. Principal of the Boeme High School from 1949 until 1952, then became superintendent of the Boerne Schools.
