With a staff of qualified students and an equally qualified adviser, the students produced the bi- weekly newspaper called the Hi Tide. The outstanding editions of the year consisted of the Homecoming, Christmas, Easter, and Graduation. These papers were the biggest and best of the year. The goal ot every stait member is, ofcourse, to be tapped for Quill and Scroll. In addition to the first hand experience gained from the production, the staff gained experience from the Florida Scholastic Press Association Dis- trict Meeting held in our own auditorium. The other big conference was the state-wide meeting held in Gainesville in April. Along with the staff there are a great number ot reporters stationed throughout the school which gather news from all corners of the school. A new feature this year was the using of the paper as a medium of relaying Mr. .lones's news letter to every family with a member in school. Also the great improvement in the quality ot the paper has added to the enjoyment ot the reader. gg A-New an w new 'J Claudia Melton, Club Editor, Kitty Mason, News Editor, Judy Betty Herden, Advertising MGDOQEV: RC1l'ldY 5Cl'1WOfiZ, ASSY Mulligan, Feature Editor.
