UDQEEQCQA YL lf ALAN TIERNEY and Mr. Whitman work on the fine points of salesmanship. 21 CHARLEN E MCATEE was chosen Miss Ohio DECA in 1974. 31 Distributive Education Class: lst Row: Charlene McAtee, Karen Pogacnik, Diane Kubrin, Linda Zimmerman, Debbie Conti. 2nd Row: Jim Ceglie, Debi Valentine, Kathy Segall, Cindy Close, Charlene Harris, Paula Vecchione. 3rd Row: Mr. Whitman, Terry Babyak, Dave McKay, Alan Tierney. This was a banner year for the 22 members of the Distributive Education class, as their DECA club became one of the winningest in the state. It all started in the fall when Charlene McAtee won the 1974 Miss Ohio DECA title. The class continued winning in February, when for the fourth consecutive year, they became District 14 champions. They really showed their superior mar- keting skills as 12 won the honor to compete again in Columbus. The en- tire class also earned honors for their very busy year, as one of the top eight out of over 350 clubs in the state, with an honorary Chapter of the Year Fina- list Award. l4fDECA
