This year one man s record oi service and leadership makes him an outstanding favorite fo the Crier dedication He is the one person at Boardman who knows and appreciates the problems of every student He met us at the portals of high school and since then has guided us unerrmgly through the halls of knowledge He worries with us over our grades yet he is the first to praise us when we su ceed His efficient management of Boardmans high school system is con stantly lauded by the student body and the community as a whole His guiding hand is Dresent everywhere supervising our activities in a friendly helpful manner For his twenty eight years of faithful service to Boardman High School both as a teacher and as its principal we are proud to dedicate the l953 Cner to Mr lames W Tidd I L I U 0 O He counsels us on school affairs and gives advice on personal troubles.

SUPERINTENDENT It is a pleasure to have this opportunity to con- gratulate the senior class of 1953. When I came to Boardman School, you were in the fifth grade. I learned to know you quite well then: but as the years have passed, many of you have grown away from me. You are graduating 156 strong: yet out of the 156 seniors of 1953, only 102 were attending Boardman School in the fifth grade eight years ago. We hope sincerely that you will return to Boardman High School for requent visits because we enjoy having you, and we like to know what you are doing. The best wishes of the administration and faculty will follow you through the years to come.
