They had size, they had depth, and they had experienceg but somehow, they just couldn't get it all together. Leading scorers were Denny Caskie and Ken Koontz, with Mike Samsal close behind. The Pirates went into tournament play against Miller City, but, after a grim fourth quarter, were defeated 65-63. It was a year of disappointments, but the mighty Pirates never stopped trying. That's The Wa The Ball Bounces D il t Was A Very Good Year It wasn'tjust a good year, it was a great year for Coach Stitzel and his .I.V.'s. The season record speaks for itself - 14-2. This new educational program values change of pace during the academic year. The pattern of study is a three-and-one-half week module during which one course is studied, followed by a twelve-week term during which three courses are studied. A January module again involves the study of one course, followed by a spring term ofthree courses. The normal academic year ends with the May module, a one-course study. The revised curriculum introduces greater flexibility into academic requirements. Incorporating a course system, the pro- gram features fewer required courses, more elective courses, a totally revised general education program and redesigned majors.
