School IS Guided by Capable Leaders SUPERINTENDENT AARON B. MURRAY Bluffton High School A.B. Bluffton College M.A. Ohio State University Since 1949, the Bluffton Schools have been headed by Mr. Murray. Mr. Murray is a mem- ber of the Phi Delta Kappa, an honorary educa- tion fraternity, and the American Association of School Administrators. He is also president of the Northwestern Ohio Association of School Administrators. He takes active interest in his hobbies, gar- dening and golf. He is past president of Bluff- ton Men's Garden Club and a member of the Summer Invitational Golf Club of Ohio School Men. Besides his regular duties at school, he is the advisor of the student patrol, the school safety patrol. He will derive great satisfaction from the opening of the new elementary building for the 1956-1957 school year. PRINCIPAL A ROBERT SCHUMANN Steubenville High School B.A. Ohio Wesleyan University M.A. Ohio State University Mr. Schumann came to Bluffton this year from Steubenville. Although new in the field of school administration, he has done an excellent job as school principal. Besides assuming the responsibilities of prin- cipal, Mr. Schumann teaches English and speech. He also advises the student senate and the National Honor Society. He is a member of Theta Alpha Phi, Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Delta Kappa, and other local groups. Prior to coming to Bluffton, Mr. Schumann was an instrument flying instructor in the army air corps. During the summer of 1952 he took a tour of Europe to study the educational systems of England, France, Scotland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
