Queen Lora and her court reign over Homecoming festivities SEPTEMBER 4Doors were opened to the 75th graduating class. -Cheerleaders were chosen at first pep meet- ing. Band members chose majorettes. -wljootball season started with the preview at McComb. We won over North Baltimore. -F.H.A. freshmen were initiated. Who were those girls in P.l.'s uptown? fWe lost to Ada in the first home game. Dad's were honored. F.H.A. sponsored a dance after the game. -Tri-Hi-Y held a scavenger hunt for food to be Glimpses of Important 22-G.A.A. and Varsity B sponsored a hayride. 264P.T.A. Halloween Carnival. Boo! Armistice Day. 16-F.F.A.-F.H.A. banquet. 18-A-Senior class sponsored high school party. Teachers gave a grand-slam performance. 24-25-Thanksgiving vacation. DECEMBER 3--Choruses sang at Toledo for the OMEA con- vention. 1 OCTOBER 5-eSophomores selected class rings. GeHome Bc. girls visited St. Marys woolen mills and the Van Wert cheese factory. 7--Homecoming game against Pandora-Gilboa. Queen Lora witnessed a tie game. Homecoming dance followed the game. Dads are honored at Bluffton-Ada game. Hluniors presented Three Fingers in the Door.' l4eTri-Hi-Y Christmas party. 19-Music department presented a Christmas pro- gram for P.T.A. 22!Christmas party for the whole school. Mounds and mounds of ham sandwiches! Christmas vacation began. Mr. Herr helps the Tri-Hi-Y girls decorate the Christm -

Seventh Grade Discovers New Fifty-one eager seventh-grade students entered B. H. S. in September. Although bewildered, they were enjoying their school life. They participated in all the activities open to them. Many of them were in band, orchestra, and junior chorus. Several of the boys played football and were on the junior high basketball team. Miss Keel and Mr. Luginbuhl did a fine iob of guid- ing the seventh grade through their first year at B. H. S. Buccaneer pictures are taken. Dates in 0ur School Year IANUARY 3-School resumed. l7-Football banquet. 28-District Ill music festival. 30-No school! Too much lovely white snow. FEBRUARY lv-F. F. A. initiation. 3-4-Seniors presented Girl Shy. 5-Band and orchestra presented concert. 14-We defeated Delphos Iefferson in the first round of the non-county tournaments. l7eAda was defeated by Bluffton in the second tournament game. 21-Bluffton defeated St. Gerard in the semi-finals. 22-Washington's birthday, no school. 24--Bluffton defeated Coldwater for the cham- pionship of the non-county tournament! 29-Sweetheart dance is sponsored by the Tri- Hi-Y. MARCH lOeDistrict solo and ensemble contest was held at Lima. Bluffton! Get that tip! F.F.A. meeting is held in the ag. room. l3-Roman banquet. Oh, that gooey pie! 24-District band, orchestra, and chorus contest. Bluffton served as host town. 26-29-Pre-Easter devotions. 30-Easter vacation. APRIL 14-State solo and ensemble finals were held in Bowling Green. 28eBand, orchestra, and chorus state finals were held at Capital University. MAY 2-Sleepy eyed girls enjoyed Tri-Hi-Y May breakfast. 8-9--The Showboat came to town! ll-Iunior-Senior prom. Iuniors use as theme Evening in Paris. 20-Baccalaureate. 24-The class of l956 received their diplomas. 25-Whoppee! ! Last day of school. 27--Seniors started their class trip. And We did!
