The juniors held the traditional Jr. Sr. prom on May 8, 1976. Members of the class had worked all week to transform the gym with colorful artwork which carried out the theme. Island Para- dise. Secret Sauce provided the music for this occasion. Students that attended the prom had mixed feelings about its suc- cess. Many thought it was one of the greate st nights of the year; oth- ers thought that the prom was a great let down. Disappointed students com- mented: The band wasn ' t any good. The background for pictures didn ' t match the theme. It was not light enough in the gym. It wasn ' t as great as I had al- ways heard. Pleased students commented: The band was the best ever. The decorations were very color- ful. The food was delicious! It was just what I had thought a prom should be. The punch should have been spiked. Even though the prom wasn ' t enjoyed by all, the juniors consid- ered it a success. They now look forward to the prom they would be given next year.
