We slowly drove, he knew no haste. And I had put away My labor, and my leisure too. For his civility. Preface Life at Bluestone in 1974 was quite different from that of previous years. Many of the changes were due, in part, to a new principal, William Baker. Therefore, in this year ' s GOLDEN LINK, the staff has tried to show these various changes, how they affected students ' lives, and, hopefully, how they have made our school a better one. I would like to thank various companies and personalities for their encouragement and support in the creation and publication of the GOLDEN LINK. Without the help and patience of Mrs. Stumps, Mr. Baker, Mr. Conner, Max Ward and Delmar Company, The Clarksville Times, The Mecklenburg News, and The Chase City Progress; the cooperation of students and teachers; and the hard work exerted by active staff members, the 1974 GOLDEN LINK could have never become a reality.
