' Shower Of Stars ' Begins To Shine The junior class gathered seemingly worthless articles such as broken mirrors, old newspapers, chicken wire, and fishing line to begin the decorations for the ' 73 prom. The fishing line was used to hang the sky and the mirrors, chicken wire, and old news- papers were used in constructing the meteorite. The gigantic ball was admired by many who attended the prom, and the decorations in general were said to be the most imaginative seen anywhere. The diligent work of many juniors proved to be rewarding. 20 Student Life

1973 Prom Bursts Into A Shimmering Success The 1973 Prom proved to be a great success due to the hard work of the Junior Class. Their innovative minds developed many ideas, such as, streamers which camouflag- ed the walls, and a gym sky lit with fluorescent stars. Black lights, placed around the gym, illuminated the shining ceiling as well as the prisms of mirror on the meteorite that hung in the center. This, plus music provided by the The Eliminators , made the evening a memorable event. The perfumed refreshment area and its table, which contained a beautiful centerpiece of rainbow colors, provided the more congenial atmosphere for relaxation and friendly chatter. There is no doubt that the many long hours and weeks of work were well worthwhile. 22 Student Life k
