The 16th of December they played several Christmas selections; that same night they appeared in a Christmas parade. After the holiday work was begun preparing for festival time along with several popular numbers whose introduction resulted in much enthusiam. Other activities will be playing for concerts, assemblies, and public performances. During the spring the band will start drilling on marching formation in preparation for the coming football season. 102 THE AIR After individual auditions the Choral Club, under the direction of Mr. G.B. Harris, was organized in October. There was such a big turn out the number had to be limited. Approximately ninety were invited to join. The chorus started the You Sing as a good singing repetoire. They sang for the first time before the P. T. A. After this, the chorus started practicing for the Christmas program. When we returned to school, the chorus be gan to practice immediately on selections of graded choral music for the festival in Farmville. Following the festival we will start rehearsing numbers for H. M. S. Pinafore at Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta. The entire chorus will work with the dramatic department in preparation for this, their crowning performance. 103 104 nearby town! Begging for ' jnb! ' D0 : ' B yi ?
