Student Activities Association The Student Activities Association was formed in the fall of 1975. Mrs. Marjorie Charlton served as advisor to the organization. With 24 charter members the organization made great progress in its initial year of existence. As the name suggests, the primary purpose of the SAA was to encourage the involvement of Bluefield State students in all aspects of student life. The SAA also served as a political organization by participating in the election process at BSC. In fact, the SAA established a political entity, becoming the first organization at BSC to provide candidates for Student Government. Officers were: President, Barry Mabrey, Vice President, David Warf, Sec.-Treas., Pam Gaither, and Publicity Chairman, Tim O'Hara. SAA Members: CL-r, First rowy S. Baker, P, Hnrrellhl, Neubcrt, V.
