Future Teachers The Future Teachers of America will educate the youth of tomorrow. Teachers are the builders of civilization. The future belongs to youth and is full of hope, opportunity, and promise for those who prepare themselves for it. Since the origin of the Bluefield High School Chapter in 1957, it has sought to enable its members to study and to identify the qualities, traits, and aptitudes which are basic to successful teaching. Because these students are interested in becoming nurses, doctors, and technicians, they conduct such projects as a tour of the Mercer County Health Center. In addition to career studies, the organization participates in several community s e r v i c e projects. The group is sponsored by the Medical Auxiliary.
