Claude Huffman President Rufus Witt Vice-President Hope Lilly Secretary Paul Reid Treasurer Our ambitions fulfilled, our work well done, we, the Sophomore Class of forty-two, are leaving Bluefield College. We rather envy those we leave behind because of the happi¬ ness that lies ahead for them: hours in the Slop-Shop , dances in the dining hall, football and basket-ball games, May Day, the happiness we once shared! The thought of leav¬ ing our beautiful campus, our sus¬ taining faculty and our Freshman friends makes us rather misty-eyed. As much as we would like to remain, however, we must go on in order to make room for those who will follow. Some of us will find positions in this war-torn nation, while others will en¬ ter institutions of higher learning. Whatever our destinies, we shall al¬ ways carry with us the memory of our two happy and glorious years Bluefield College. « Page 10 SOPHOMORES
