As we grow older and look back on our years in high school, images echo in our minds —- the crisp air on a football Friday; the sugar of success and the crush of defeat shared with teammates; laughter in the halls; friends who passed through our lives for a brief moment. Reflections is the memories that we carefully press between the pages in the scrapbooks of our minds — the best years of our youth. Remember . . . L 2 ... the academic achievements that elevated our comprehension and intelligence 3 5 Remember . . . 6 7 8 Remember the young loves that blossomed all year round to enhance tender romance. 10 SENIORS 11 As Seniors at Blue Valley we remember when we were only a country school ... when we were mere freshmen, graduation seemed a long time away ... when you had to ride the school bus ... when the parking lot had some empty spaces ... when the trophy cases weren't so full ... when you knew everyone's name ... when the speed limit was 70m.p.h. .. when we weren't so crazy ... remember watching Captain Kangaroo and Batman ... remember the band's Chili Suppers ... remember the times you were caught in the hall for yearbook pictures ... remember your first day of school ... remember the friends who have left us ... Remember ... 13 1: Senior Class Officers: Secretary-L. Fiscella; President-C. Doepke; Treasurer-D. Beach; Vice-President-P.K. Much growth and progress has taken place within the Blue Valley School District during this 1977-78 school year. A fifteen-classroom addition to Blue Valley High School began construction during the year, increasing the school's capacity to handle the many new students and providing improved facili -ties for special class offerings. Expanded curricular programs included health education, career exploration, vocational education, and reading study skills. Plans and efforts continued to be directed toward keeping pace with a growing and dynamic community. Tennyson once wrote, ' '1 am a part of all that I have met.'' An experience at one age influences the later behavior of an individual. Each event of significance in the life of the individual changes him to some extent. With this in mind, as a institution of learning, Blue Valley strives to provide an atmosphere of involvement and provide opportunities for a variety of experiences for varying life styles. Student experiences, both routine and stimulating, allow for individual and group participation.
