the vital ingredient Looking back over the year, it's easy to see that the achieve- ments ofthe eighth and ninth grade volleyball teams came from their dedication to practice. Stretching and conditioning was the beginning of practice fol- lowed by work on the basic skills essential to volleyball. Serving, spik- ing, bumping, and setting were practiced rigorously.
