Students Learn To Cope On Wednesday night March 12 1980 a fire engulfed the western one-third of Blue Springs Junior High School. Although it happened last year, the fire has had a huge effect on all students, staff, and administrators this year. lt has caused us to function with shuttle buses, sack lunches, and outdoor volleyball practice. But it has also given us the opportunity to play games in the high school field house, to have better facilities in the west wing, and to show the community the school district, and ourselves that nothing can keep us down. No matter how devastating the fire was to our building, the BSJH students and staff will keep moving right along. Before the fire and after the fire are time references that will be used for years to come but the students and staff of 1980-81 are the ones who will remember all the challenging events they experienced. They are the ones who know first hand that Blue Springs Junior High can't be held back
