' 2 I , ,lf M':3'55'7 ' 1, 'I ' Doug Kingsley, a freshman, is a runner. He ran in the East Coast Classics held in Baltimore, Maryland in 1980. He came in first in both the mile and the half-mile. Doug set the national record for the mile. He also took first place for the mile run in Dayton, Ohio at the United States Track and Field Federation national meet. There he set the record for the two mile run. In San Francisco at the AAU national championships, Doug came in second for both the mile and the half-mile. VW' M' at W l ,r i

Br ng Honors To B S J H Ask Tim Wilkins the spelling of any word and he'll give it to you. Tim was BSJH's spelling bee winner who participated in the Jackson County Spelling Bee. There he won first and received an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. At the national spelling bee, Tim placed fifth. Greg Osborne's talent is of a musical nature. Greg has composed two songs which have won him honors. They both received first place awards at the annual Missouri PTSA cultural arts contest. One of these compositions he completed while in 7th grade and one while he was in 8th grade. His latest effort won him a second place at the contest on a national level.
