B.A. Univ. of Oklahoma, M.A. There are many offerings to BSJHers in the field of fine arts. Those interested in studying vocal and choral techni ues can choose between choir treble Cl , choir, and chorus. All are offered at both eighth and ninth grade levels. Students who favor making music with instruments, select from orchestra or band classes. Ninth grade band students have the opportunity of participating in either symphonic or concert band. All of these groups have chances to perform for the student body as well as for family and friends. The student chosing eighth or ninth grade art is exposed to a broad and varying range of art experiences designed to develop art knowledge, attitudes, skills, and self-exploration. There is the study of basic shapes, color schemes, and drawing.

Students go to the library during their study hall, or on a pass from another class. The library sponsored a very successful book fair that students attended through their English classes. The instructional materials center for the school is located in the library and is supervised by the librarian and her staff. Student helpers are available to help with book check-inlcheck-out procedures, laminating of instruc- tional materials, and a variety of library-oriented tasks. Library Staff ,,
