Bartow Superintendent of Schools To the students of Blue Springs Junior High: We are happy to commend you for the very fine year that you have had at Blue Springs Junior High in spite of the many adversities associated with the fire. We know this has created an interruption in certain areas but you have succeeded and achieved in spite of these inconveniences. You are to be commended. I am happy to call to your attention the members of our Board of Education listed on the opposite page. The Board are the representatives of the people and are elected by the patrons to make the policy for our entire school system. They then employ administrators to administer the school within the policies and l commend to you, and call your special attention to, each fine board member. History will show that Blue Springs Junior High had a fire on March 12, 1980, and that the 1980-81 students endured the hardships associated with the fire and yet they achieved. You, as a student during this time, are part of that history. My congratulations and thanks to each of you! Gale T. They must be sure that the best possible education is available to the students of the district. All of the school board members are elected and serve a three-year term. The Superintendent of Schools is selected and employed by the Board of Education. It is his responsibility to carry out the policy of the Board of Education. The members of the Board meet monthly at the central office building, and meetings are open to the patrons of Blue Springs Fi-IV School District.

This person must be a professional educator who is not only responsible to the superintendent of schools, but also, the teachers, students and parents. This person must provide leadership in developing the instructional program, the school policy, and a staff that works well together. Mr. Georgeff does all this and more. He can be counted on to give guidance and a smile. He can be counted on to give support, both firm and friendly. He is a principal that keeps this school vital and on the move.
