Graduation CONGRATULATIONS. Melody Breshears and Marcia Bearden make summer plans after graduation. . . Graduation, normally a time of joy and excitement turned into a time of controversy-almost. A Board of Education decision to abolish the traditional valedictory address filtered down to members of the class who reacted through a petition. lt wasn't that seniors wanted the tradition, they felt a need to be informed of decisions.
